A Preview of What’s Coming in 2021!

Disney World made some big promises for their 50th anniversary. These included new rides, shows and overall changes to the parks. However, the pandemic has ruined some of these plans, like the Spaceship Earth retheme and the addition of Cherry Tree Lane to the UK pavilion. Most projects are still on, though, so let’s see what is coming up for Disney in 2021!

Epcot’s Neighborhoods

This project has already been started, as you may have noticed by all the walls around Epcot. For the 50th anniversary, instead of just World Showcase and Future World, Epcot is becoming four neighborhoods. World Showcase will stay, but Future World will be broken into three neighborhoods- World Discovery, World Celebration, and World Nature. Each neighborhood will have a distinct theme and new attractions, including the next item on our list in World Nature

Journey of Water: Inspired by Moana

This is not going to be a ride, but a walk-through attraction. Journey of Water will be a maze with elements from Moana. And, as it is Epcot, Journey of Water will also contain educational elements about how the water cycle works. This attraction should open in late 2021, but if it doesn’t, it will still open in early 2022.

Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure

This new attraction will be located in the France Pavilion, and may be opening very soon. Recently, casting was done for a promo for this ride, which is a sign that it could open soon. If you don’t know what this ride is going to be, you can watch the French ride it is cloning here.

HarmonioUS

HarmonioUS is going to be a nighttime spectacular show on World Showcase Lagoon. It has been officially announced that its first show will be in 2021, so it likely won’t get pushed back. The show itself will be about Disney music and how music unites people around the globe. It is supposed to be Disney’s biggest nighttime show in history!

Tron Power Run

The Tron coaster is a new kind of coaster coming to Tomorrowland, right next to Space Mountain. This is one of the most highly anticipated additions for the 50th anniversary, due to the exciting nature of it. Also, the attraction already exists in Shanghai Disneyland, where it is a fan favorite. You can watch that version here!

I hope you enjoyed looking forward to what’s coming in 2021. What are you most excited for? Let me know in the comments! Thanks for reading, and have a magical day.
